What is a Brazilian wax? Think of a super extended bikini wax….only there’s no hair left anywhere. That’s right, completely bare down there. Sounds scary and a little intimidating, doesn’t it? Well it doesn’t have to be!
Knowing what to expect does alot to help alleviate your fears. First you will be asked to fill out an intake form to make sure there are no contraindications to wax (certain medications, diabetes, tanning etc.). Then your technician will bring you to the treatment room and have you change. Next the technician will assess and prepare your skin to be waxed and proceed with the waxing (usually anywhere from fifteen minutes to a half hour, depending on hair growth). After, the technician will apply product to calm the skin and give you tips on caring for your skin after a wax.
What everyone really wants to know is, does it hurt? Yes, yes it does. Is it unbearable? Nope, not in the least. If you’re worried about the pain factor, get a numbing cream and apply about a half hour before your wax or we can spray you with a numbing spray at the time of your treatment.
There’s a reason why this is the most popular wax today – because it is absolutely worth it!
